It's very handy having a small helper to help out with various tasks ... such as gift opening, birthday cake candle-blowing, etc! Ah, Sophie - she's not only very helpful, but also very cute! :)

Here he is ... meet baby Jack!

My big brother (Jay) and his girlfriend (Jamie) had their little bebe this morning (May 12) at 4:44am. The new mum and baby are both doing really well - and proud papa is ecstatic. Jack is a hefty little guy - he weighs in at over 9lbs - eep! Look at this funny little guy!

I'm gonna go back to the hospital to see him again tomorrow. :)

Anniversario Felice (to us!)

Wow. Exactly one year ago, I was in Italy, with a bunch of my friends ... it was my wedding day ... and we were all in the process of stuffing ourselves with the most amazing food ever! Yep, that was one year ago. Actually, it was at about this time that we were all already completely, insanely stuffed ... and were just sitting around with full bellies. Ha!

So that means that Dan & I have been offically married for one year now. Wowee. I can't even believe how fast time flies. But so far, so good! Married life is been good (well ... it's exactly the same as it was, to be completely honest about it!) :)

Birthday Belgians ...

Well, Friday was birthday-party night - and it was a blast! Everyone had a lot of fun, so that was great. There was a pretty good turnout (around 25) and yep, fun was definitely had. Everyone seemed to be in really high spirits so that made for a good vibe. And the other great thing was that there was a really great mix of people - including some new people and some friends that go waaaay back (in fact, one person we hadn't seen in a decade, if you can believe it!).

There were a whole lotta ECIAD art-school grads there, which was kind of strange. I haven't been around that many artists in years!!

After consuming a silly amount of alcohol, I lamed out at 3am and went to bed. I was on the edge ... if you know what I mean ... But all was well - I stopped drinking at just the right time (phew). I wasn't in tip-top shape on Saturday, but I wasn't too bad. :)

After my birthday last year, I have to say that this one is going much better so far. Everyone was so nice and so thoughtful to me on Friday!! I felt like a special birthday gurl - how nice. :)

Okay, I admit it - I've been neglecting this journal lately. I've been having more fun on with my myspace page, to be quite honest about it ...

I wonder how many people have abandoned Blogger for myspace?? Hmmm ....

Anyways, since I'm here, I might as well think if there's anything new with me. One *very* exciting thing is that my website is now officially in the works - yay! Double yay! I know, it's long overdue - but hey, better late than never. :)

Aside from that, tonight I'm having some peeps over for an early birthday celebration. We're going to hang out, eat, drink lots of alcohol .... should be fun! I wasn't interested in going out to celebrate my b-day this year. Sheesh, it's hard to believe that it's almost been a year since I turned 30 (and was lucky enough to be in Europe to welcome it in).

It's strange - even though I'm going to be 31, I feel better than ever before. Things seem to get way better as you age (honestly!). Life is good - bring on 31!!
