past (10) present

I was digging through old photos the other night, and came across some photos that were taken at the opening of an exhibition I had in Sydney, Australia. I wasn't at the opening, but someone from the gallery was kind enough to snap some photos for me. :)
The photos here are pretty crappy quality (I had to scan them from prints). I guess I should really have those negatives transferred to digital ... (note to self: add to to-do list!)

Spelled my name wrong ... grrr!

Monkey shirts!!

So, there Dan & I were, walking down a street in Florence (on our way to an internet cafe, if I recall correctly) ... when we came across a small newspaper stand. In addition to selling papers they also sold some touristy type stuff ... and small tshirts! Tshirts that would fit our sock monkeys ... perfectly!!! We couldn't believe it ... there were racks of little tshirts ...

Why on earth did they have small tshirts?! No idea. Can't even think of a reason why they'd be selling them. But we were happy they did - so we bought some for our monkeys, of course!! We picked one out for each of them. Then when we got to Pisa we found more monkey shirts ... so we picked up one more (it was a little Superman shirt, how could we resist?!)

So, without further ado, here they are!!!

Monks .... Ciao Ciao!

Clinton!

Allan ... and the perfect shirt for him :)

Summertime

Yep, summer has finally arrived in Vancouver. We're just finishing up a gorgeous long weekend ... it was a hot one! Dan & I spent some time hunting for a portable air conditioner for the apartment. :P

Carl, Allan & Monks at Jericho Beach, getting a little sun :)

Flip!

Check out the property that my sis and her hubby bought a few months ago ... it wasn't at all like this when they bought it though - it was all original, just as it was when it was built in the 70's (yep, original appliances, rugs, lighting fixtures - everything).

They gutted the place and completely renovated it. I have to say, they sure did an excellent job! It sold to the first person who came to look at it, so I guess that's proof of just how great of an apartment it is.

Man, I'd live there, that's for sure!
