Good news!! I'll be launching my business site soon. I'm just putting a few finishing touches on the site and trying to complete a new invitation design so I can include it - and then ... tah-dah, the site will *finally* be up! (I know, I know, loooong overdue ... but I won't go into the reasons why right now ...)
Anyways, I have one small dilemma, and I'm hoping that if you're reading this post, then you'll take the time to leave me your opinion (please do!). :D
I have an "about the designer" section on the site, that basically says a little bit about me and my background, and how my company came to be. I mention my destination wedding in Italy as well as my honeymoon in France in the blurb (as it all played a part in the inspiration for starting the company).
Now here's the thing - I am going to have a photo alongside the write up ... but the question is, which one? My original plan was to put one of my wedding pics up, but then I started to doubt myself, and started to think that maybe I should have more of a portrait style pic of me up.
Below are the two I'm considering ... what do you think?

Option #1: Pretty informal, fun pic.
OR
Option #2: Portrait-style
I had a friend say to me that she hates it when people put pictures of themselves on their websites - she thinks it looks egotistical. What do you think?? Me, personally, I like being able to put a face to a name ... especially when dealing in something important via the web. For example, when we were in discussion with our wedding planner in Italy, I was much more at ease after seeing a photo of him - I was able to put a name to the face and it really seemed to help for some reason.
Feedback, please!!! :)
