Oooh, I feel so special! I've been tagged by Dai of Dear Monday to list 6 strange things about me. Hmm ... let's see!

1. I have a family of stuffed creatures that reside in my apartment - everything from sock monkeys to naughty pets to Wampas to Flat Eric ... and oh so many more! This cute little monkey is our most recent addition (as of Xmas day).

2. The hubby and I actually took our sock monkeys in to Walmart once (whoops, TWICE!) to have their portrait taken. I'm pretty sure that most of our friends think we're insane. Did I mention that we've been talking about taking them in again, for a new portrait? :D

3. I sang in the choir at the opening ceremonies of Expo '86. Princess Diana and Prince Charles were there - woooo!

4. Paris is my home-away-from-home. Honestly, who would think that a city on the other side of the world would feel so comfortable for me to be in? Uhh, especially since my French is limited ... but at least I know enough to get by just fine. :)

I've been to Paris a number of times now - let's see, I guess we've been there 6x now. Wow. We got engaged there too, did I mention that? Ooh la la.

5. The main thing that keeps me going is the thought of our next trip. Yep. It's my main source of inspiration ... work to travel ... oh how we love to go to Europe. There was some crazy talk about maybe not going in 2007, but over the past couple of weeks there have been a lot of "where should we go next?" questions ...

6. I have to have a clean apartment on Christmas Eve ... you know, so I wake up to a nice clean apartment on Xmas morning. I'm also like that whenever we leave on a trip - I have to leave the apartment as clean as can be (clean bedding is also mandatory) so that it's nice to come home to.

Well, I don't think those are overly strange (okay, maybe taking the monkeys to Walmart to have their pictures taken is a little odd ... tee hee!), but there you have it!

Sleepless night

I didn't sleep very well last night, I just wasn't feeling very good. I guess my lack of sleep was pretty apparent when it was time to get up and go to work ... and I almost left the apartment like this:

Whoops, different shoes! Luckily they felt different and so I noticed in time. Tee hee!
